Because many of us hunt for the table I thought a table knife (steak knife) is a naturall need so this is the pattern I have for that purpose. This blade is 5 inches of .075 12C27 stainless and has red G10 liners under the black paper micarta handles with stainless pins. Being so thin I do all the grinding after heat treat which was a first for me. It means a lot of water cooling with a dip in the bucket every pass but this steel is so soft as it arrives and is very easily bent so it is best to profile, straighten, heat treat then do the grinding when it is hard so it holds the straightness. Always good to pick up new techniques.
