HEAVEN AND HELL
While walking down the street one day a corrupt Senator
was tragically hit by a car and died. His soul arrives in heaven
and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.

"Welcome to heaven," says St. Peter. "Before you settle in,
it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around
these parts, you see, so we're not sure what to do with you."

"No problem, just let me in," says the Senator..

"Well, I'd like to, but I have orders from the higher ups.
What we'll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven.
Then you can choose where to spend eternity."

"Really?, I've made up my mind. I want to be in heaven," says the Senator.
I'm sorry, but we have our rules." and with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell.

The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course.
In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him.

Everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him,
shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people.

They played a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster,
caviar and the finest champagne. also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly guy who is having a good time dancing and telling jokes.

They are all having such a good time that before the Senator realizes it, it is time to go. Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises...

The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens in heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him, "Now it's time to visit heaven.."

So, 24 hours passed with the Senator joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns.

"Well, then, you've spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity."

The Senator reflects for a minute, then he answers:
"Well, I would never have said it before; I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in hell."

So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell.

Now the doors of the elevator open and he's in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage. He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above.

The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulders.

"I don't understand," stammers the Senator. "Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now there's just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened?"

The devil smiles at him and says, "Yesterday we were campaigning ...

Today, you voted.."

so true!

Ditto! And since there are no democrats worth voting for...the only wise vote is for a Republican. Please don't fall for voting 3rd party! It only takes votes away from the more worthy candidate. Voting for a 3rd party is masturbatory! It feels good and leaves nothing but a mess, don't do it! This US election is crucial to the future of gun owners and hunters in this country, if you cant see that you are a boob.

By belief I'm basically a libertarian, but always seem to end up voting begrudgingly for a Republican due to the reasons above.

As a Libertarian you are much closer in your philosophy to the Republican party than you are to the big govt, people controlling demtard party. If we value our 2nd Amendment rights and our hunting rights, there is really no choice. I learned a long time ago that throwing ones vote away on a candidate that CANNOT WIN simply is unacceptable and while I did it once, I will never do it again.

Don't worry Ses, you don't have to sell me on that!!!

All I can say is IF the republicans can win a majority they darn well better DO something with it and not p#ss off the next few years ! I am so tired of political infighting between parties and not doing for the good of the country!!

Sestoppelman, sure wish I could figure out where you stand politically! LOL

I'm sure the gun manufacturers all support Republicans across the board, but they would have to be secretly toasting Barrack for their best years of sales ever.

Seriously, I'm solid republican but they sure do tick me off on the way they left the Whitehouse to this idiot in the last election because of their rigidity over a few things. We need to have a full republican congress to get through the next 2 years. And as K-man says, they better step it up and deliver.

We are going to need another president like Reagan to pull things back in line after the present idiot is done..... But National elections are so different than state ones, I'm not so sure Republicans can put up a candidate and come close enough to center to win.

One thing I have come to realize is that most modern day politicians never really wants to solve anything... They just want to have the problems continue so they can campaign on how they are doing their best to solve a problem but the other party won't let them. It is almost like a conspiracy of do nothings on both sides.

The worst thing I see out of our present administration is the flat out lies and propaganda. Who was it that said if you tell a big enough lie and swear it is so, people will believe it...... I think his first name was Adolf. Not saying Obama is comparable in the worst ways, but the lies and bypassing the legislative system is startlingly similar.

Sorry for the ramblings......

Had elections here in Minnesota we need to Change the the Governor and for sure get rid of that Ass kissing Obama Loving ex Saturday night Live Comidian we have for a Senator

I'm already preparing for Hillary and 8 years of her and Bill at the top(n):sick::( again.

I voted in Texas for the second time in my life today, first time I was in the Army stationed at Ft Hood and voted for Perot, never again. Strait rep ticket!

My faith in the American voter is .....almost restored tonight. I say almost because of the amount of close calls, it should not have been even close in most cases. And yeah, what the hell happened to Minnesota anyway?!?! That state has become home to loons! Imagine, re-electing that idiot moronic, useless, mental midget, twit:mad: Al Franken!!!! Really!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Something in the water up thataways???

I came home from voting tonight and checked my game camera and there was a black panther on it!

My African PH wanted to know how the Democrats could win anything because they had only every met one Democrat... And they said he could not shoot for shit and really was kinda weird. Did not fit in well with other hunters in camp. So from their representative sample of American clients, they thought Republicans must severally outnumber Democrats.

If only, if only....

Hey don't insult our State bird by comparing it to a Democrat. We now have about 2.2 million people in the twin cities metro and 2 million outstate, and I think something like 30% of the balance are in larger cities.

We'd be fine if we could just re-arrange things a bit. Lump the twin cities, Madison WI, Milwaukee and Chicago into their own State and leave the rest of us be!

Amazing evening watching the election returns. My home state of Maryland, haven't lived there in 24 years, but where I grew up has elected a Rep for governor. And easily as amazing is that he will join a Rep from Illinois!!! Throw in Rep gov's in Wisconsin and Michigan.

So I wonder how soon we'll see reloading component supply return to normal?

I should talk about Minn, my own state of WA is well stocked with loons!! Our two liberal dem senators are about as far left as they come, they were not up for re election last night but if they were they would have won. We passed handily last night a new background check law that may actually require a check for any transfer of a firearm. In other words loaning a gun to a friend to take hunting or even to the range, may now require paperwork and a background check!!!! Most cops here say its unenforceable, but the lunatic libs in this state outnumber the rest of us and so here we are. My hope is that it will be challenged in the courts and be tied up for years. Its just insane!

I'm sure the anti-gun people around the country are celebrating the background check for everyone in WA. It's just a bunch of BS.
