Thank you Wayne, it really is much appreciated...yes, I always fish with the best anglers , Louis and Tinus are really great anglers , I did learn a lot from them in only one day..Hell of a casting tool. I'd expect nothing less from you and your buddies Gert.
Congrats on the successful fight.
Hogpatrol, yes it is an extremely fine white sea sand that forms the dunes. I do not have 4x4 capabilities on my Mazda BT-50 only diff-lock , so I had to de-flate the tyres to be able to drive on the fine sand and over the dunes..this is another reason why we all fish with high quality polarised glasses..the sand /water reflects a lot and damage /cause sore eyes ....we are not allowed to drive on the beaches in South Africa , so we have to follow self drive roads over dunes and need to park above the highwater mark above the beach...The first photo looked like driving on snow. Interesting fishing trip for sure!
Bruce, for sure, I think fishing with a drone just amplified your chances to get a fish on the line..please note that you still have to pull the fish out of the water...it does not make fighting the fish easier or ensure landing it in a shorter time...Gert,
Beats the old KITE FISHING hands down!!
Must try this sometime.. thanks for posting!
Tinus used Google maps to find the best route with the shortest route to the beach ..so all our fishing is moving to high tech solutions...I even got myself a GO-PRO 7 to use while spearfishing this week as well as fishing from the rocks ..will start a new thread ..Hogpatrol, yes it is an extremely fine white sea sand that forms the dunes. ABSOLUTELY...but greatly assists in getting the bait out there where you need it.. then the fun part starts!!!Bruce, for sure, I think fishing with a drone just amplified your chances to get a fish on the line..please note that you still have to pull the fish out of the water...it does not make fighting the fish easier or ensure landing it in a shorter time...
Hogpatrol, no, you are not allowed to touch a great white shark in any circumstances. You are not allowed to reel it in after it strike your bait, you need to release /cut the line as soon as you identify it as a great white shark...@Gert, I read where there are a lot of great white sharks in those waters. Do you fish for them or that something reserved for those running on a lean mixture?
................. only having a speargun in his hands to prod the great white shark if it gets to close to him...

Great way to cast. Good looking shark Gert.
Look forward to your spearfishing videos! What types of fish will you be targeting when you spearfish?
