Just stopped by my local academy outdoors and seen they had federal cape shock 375hh 300gr A Frames on clearance for 39.99 a box. Has anyone tried these bullets? I have been shooting Barnes but for this price I couldn't resist! Especially loaded with A frames.

Great buy! Haven't used the A-Frames myself but have read way too many good hunting reports on them. Shoot a few to see if they group well in your rifle. If they do, hold on to them for future use, I can't see where you'd go wrong with this bullet.

$39.99 a box is approximately half what I have seen this exact ammunition sell for in Anchorage recently, (when you could even find a box here once in a blue moon).

To quote PH and co-owner of Duke Safaris, John Luyt:
"I have never seen an A-Frame fail".

$39.99 for A-Frames is a GREAT deal! If you like the Barnes Bullets there is a company called Prograde that loads the TSX in their .375 ammo and it is regularly marked at $39.99 for the 235gr stuff. With the 300gr load they switch to the Nosler Accubond and I don't recall the exact price of that.

I've used these bullets. Federal loaded with A-Frames have always done a great job on the biggest game, and at that price, get all you can. If I hadn't fallen in love with Barnes, I'd still be with Swift. I'm easy that way.

I do not have a 375 but have used Swift A-Frames in several calibers/cartridges and they have been great. I would choose them over Barnes TSX myself.

I got the same chaff for my 375H last time I was in the gun shop , two packets , and a feed of ling , $70 aussie per box.....
you blokes are blessed with the price you pay for ammo , and accesesories, for your hunting..............

I may be a little late, but definitely buy those. I also recommend Barnes .375 H&H 300 grain TSX

At $40, buy EVERY SINGLE BOX ON THE SHELF!!! The A-frame is an AWESOME bullet!! You will NOT regret it!!!

Bought all 4 boxes they had left lol. But they have a ton of federal fusion 300 gr for 35.00

That fusion stuff is good as well. And a great price!

Practice with the fusion and hunt with the A Frames... And don't be to worried about hunting with Fusion as well.

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
Found out the trigger word in the end... It was muzzle or velocity. dropped them and it posted.:)

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.
