  • Swarovski Z3 3-9x36 riflescope with 4a reticle (includes Swarovski see-through scope caps with bikini strap)
  • Talley 1” QD rings on Talley Bases
  • 2 spare magazines (magazines hold 4 rounds)
  • Hard plastic travel case (as shown)
  • 320 rounds of factory ammunition (as shown)
    • 160 rds. Norma Whitetail SP (130 gr)
    • 80 rds. PPU SP (130gr)
    • 40 rds. Hornary American Whitetail (130 gr Interlock)
    • 40 rds. Federal SP RN (150 gr)

Some features of the rifle:

  • Cold hammer-forged 20" barrel with 16 flats machined in a spiral pattern
    • Pillar and glass bedded

  • Mannox coating on barrel and action. Mannox is a metal treatment similar to nitriding which is nearly impervious to corrosion and scuffing and is low glare.
  • Steel action with butterknife bolt handle
  • 3-position tang safety
  • 4-round detachable magazine
  • Machined swivel sling studs
    • Steyr uses the European style stud, so you will need to buy Euro style QD swivels

  • Gun-only weight: 7.7 lbs
    • With scope and rings: 9.0 lbs

Background: I am the only owner of this rifle. I bought it new in 2021 and never took it into the field. It’s been to the range twice and I’ve shot two boxes of ammo through it. Condition is at or near 100%.

The rifle functions flawlessly and is absolutely beautiful. After much deliberation, I have decided to put it up for sale because I have many other options in this niche and think that someone else will give this rifle the life it deserves! It will function as a beautiful and handy stalking rifle for someone who wants to take it into the field!

This a ready-made package for North American game or African plains game. I would strongly prefer to sell everything included at once.

$2,750 shipped to CONUS for everything listed. I can’t do credit cards but can probably handle most other types of payment. I have reviews (as both buyer and seller) on the forum but can also jump on the phone or meet in person if you prefer. I tried to take a lot of detailed pictures, but I can provide more upon request.

You can’t buy this rifle (standalone) for less than $3,000 these days and they are not the easiest to come by, so with everything included, this is a very fair deal. I’m happy to answer questions or provide more details.

Thank you.

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
Found out the trigger word in the end... It was muzzle or velocity. dropped them and it posted.:)

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.

*PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS FOR MY RIFLE, ALWAYS APPROACH A NEW LOAD CAUTIOUSLY!!*
Rifle is a Pierce long action, 32" 1:8.5 twist Swan{Au} barrel
{You will want a 1:8.5 to run the heavies but can get away with a 1:9}
Peterson .280AI brass, CCI 200 primers, 56.5gr of 4831SC, 184gr Berger Hybrid.

I know that this thread is more than a year old but as a new member I thought I would pass along my .280AI loading.
I am shooting F Open long range rather than hunting but here is what is working for me and I have managed a 198.14 at 800 meters.
That is for 20 shots. The 14 are X's which is a 5" circle.
