Even more news from them...it appears a few stores will stay open but the new ceo is severely anti hunting.

Aw, jeez...
Hmmm, let's see, we have a coffin. Anyone got a nail?

The one in Evansville is 'going out of business' but when they close they'll be shut down a few weeks. Then opening back up as a brand new..... Gander Mountain. New owner, new stock, same name
Like every. Single. Furniture store in our town in Ever

Now that will be weird, an anti-hunter owning stores in which the majority of their overpriced merchandise is directly related to hunting and guns. I guess rich anti-hunters' views can be bought with enough money!

I guess they will not be selling the good stuff so we can expect another going out of business sale in a couple of years!

I went the GM in Frisco, TX a couple of weeks ago.. there were a couple of items marked down enough to make them worth considering (mostly clothing/camo stuff).. but most everything in the store was still just 5-10% off.. leaving the price still well above what I could purchase the same item for elsewhere..

Firearms were 5% off.. and there was no discount on ammo at all.. most firearms accessories (optics, slings, rings, bases, etc..) were 10-15% off.. safe accessories were 10% off..

I thought about going back again later this week just to see if they have gotten serious yet about their "going out of business sale".. and if nothing has any better price on it yet.. not going back again.. they can keep their stuff :)

I went to my local store when the closing was announced in early May, nothing really worthwhile for sales. Like others have said, the sale prices are still above other stores normal prices. I went back this weekend to see if they were really serious about moving some inventory, and even with clothing/camo at 25% off, its still above other retailers...oh well

I went to the store in Lubbock TX the other week - the did have clothing and boots marked down 25-50% off (25% on Under Armour etc, 40-50% on the GM brand stuff), and guns at 15% off. Like others have stated, still not that great of deals.

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.
