This is actually firearms related, after a fashion.
There is a rather sentimental soap Opera entitled "Wild at Heart" streaming on Amazon. The Hallmark Channel meets a South African Game reserve. The animals have names, are cared for, and at least one is saved every episode. Hunting is bad, and at least one hunter gets his just desserts while hunting rhino illegally. There is high drama and everyone has issues.
So here is the question: One of the main characters is a grizzled old gamekeeper and he carries a rifle that I can't place. Bolt action, with a magazine that extends below the stock. But I can't tell if the bolt is a Mauser, or a sporterized .303 British. What do you think he is carrying?
A nice double appears in Season 2, episode three or four, and your take on that one would be welcome. It is used to put down an aged cheetah. Heartbreaking and everyone feels sad.
Note: let's stipulate that any replies to this will occur because you were trying to help me and none of you would seek out this show deliberately. Although, to be fair, the pet Nyala is comical and steals undergarments to carry around on its horns, and it eats the wedding flowers. Just close your eyes during the parts where the family treats elephants like family pets.
Thanks,
Jeff
