In January, Merkel announced they were launching a bolt action rifle, the MHR 16, for the US market in a number of calibers from .243 to 9.3x62. Best of all, they gave it a MSRP of $799 for the synthetic stock and $899 for the walnut stock.
Has anybody seen a review on these yet? Chuck Hawks has one from Randy Wakeman but he seems to have gotten a lemon. Given that these are Merkel rifles imported by Steyr, I'd expect them to be pretty high quality.
