I was out hunting with my RSM in 375H&H yesterday using the load listed below. It's proving to be very accurate out of my RSM and also very deadly on all game used on so far (brumbies, scrub bulls, pigs). I know most people have a bit of a bad taste in their mouth because of the original Hornady DGX but don't shy away from the DGX bonded because of the problems with the original. The DGX Bonded is proving to be an awesome projectile in my experience and all though I use Woodleighs only in my 458 Lott and 500 Jeffery I am using the DGX Bonded over Woodleighs in my 375 because it's holding up better at the higher velocities the 375 produces. 375H&H is not only still possibly my favourite cartridge to hunt with but also possibly my favourite to reload as well.

Projectile: 300 grain DGX Bonded
Brass: Federal
Primer: Federal Gold Medal LMR
Powder: 71.2 grains of Alliant RL15
Chrono velocity out of the 23" RSM barrel 2560fps

Allianz R15 behind a 300 Barnes TSX in my MRC is a screamer as well as extremely accurate! 72.0 chronos at 2,655 fps! Barnes website went up to 75.0 grains, but I’m considering backing off at least another grain. Their factory 300 ammo only chronographs 2,529 fps and is extremely accurate in my MRC.
It has done well from Cape buffalo down to bushbuck.
But my preferred load for PG is the Barnes 250 TTSX ahead of CFE223. For best accuracy (1/2” 3 shots at 100 m) the barrel has to be fouled well. Worked well from eland down to caracal. I have no doubt that it would take a buffalo if need be. I’m considering taking a cow buff just to try it out and hopefully add to my euro mount collection.

2655fps is moving!

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
Found out the trigger word in the end... It was muzzle or velocity. dropped them and it posted.:)

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.

Rifle is a Pierce long action, 32" 1:8.5 twist Swan{Au} barrel
