Rizzini 500 N.E.???

When rifle barrels are fitted to shotgun barrels: cut the old barrels ahead of the chamber and fasten new barrels to them. Also used if bores are shot out and new barrels are fitted as the chambers may be ok. Very few gunsmiths can do this and completely hide the line where the two pieces fit together. Lesser smiths and/or those wanting a quick job engrave over the line as seen in the 4th photo.

The procedure is common on those building a double rifle from a shotgun. This way the extractors and lumps are used. Most shotguns are wide enough at the breech to accept double rifle calibers and this is done often to make a low priced double.
Very well, understood & thank You! .. What are the chances of compromised integrity for the rest of the integral parts to the rifle, particularly when considering a 500 N.E.?

Many thanks!

Good makers have been using this sysstem for decades. Perhaps Butch Searcy did this in the 1980s. As I don't play with modern doubles I really don't keep track of them. while I'm sure they will last, nothing is better than an original and solid construction. Those more knowledgeable than I can give you the details of the different methods of fastening the tubes to the mono block.

Rizzini build doubles on a different action to the shotguns

All I know is gun is NIB and has beautiful engraving which is very important to me. I guess that is why my monicker is “rare breed”. I want a great looking rifle I have no concerns about getting it dinged up in the field. I will post pictures when I get the 470 Wednesday or Thursday

Really, going out of business. That's a shame.

Your confident on the Rizzini however, that's good to hear!
I googled them and do not see them goi g out of business whatsoever

On yours sir, are the Barrel's a Satin finish? .. I've seen a couple variations out of the factory upon closer look, gloss wood/Barrel's or a semi gloss/satin finish. It's hard to tell on promo photos etc..

Thank You!
I would say mine is semi gloss/satin finish

The Rizzini Company was founded in 1966 by Battista Rizzini who currently runs it together with his three children. Since the foundation, its products have become renowned worldwide. Made possible through the endless quest for the best quality of the materials and products, achievable only through continuous investments in new technologies integrated into traditional workmanship.

Rizzini produces firearms intended to match the most demanding needs of hunters and competition shooters; its production includes game over unders, side by side and combination models in both smooth bore or rifled bore as well as competition models specifically developed for the single shooting disciplines and the range of models includes small gauges as well.

The Company operates a project development office, several state of the art CNC machines and a woods department for the production of stock and forends. The guns are assembled by skilled gunsmiths and tested for pattern in the in house shooting tunnel.

B. Rizzini The company's advertising material claims that B. Rizzini is "The Original Rizzini". I suppose that claim must be justified by the fact that it was founded in 1965, before any of the other Rizzini companies that are still in operation. However, Battista Rizzini's uncles were in the arms-making business before they founded their company, F.lli Rizzini.

The company makes O/U shotguns and double rifles in a variety of models and grades, in medium-to-high quality and price ranges. In the past their guns have been imported to the USA by William Larkin Moore, New England Arms Corp, and Sigarms, and they are now imported by Rizzini USA.

This is the one I refer to.

Not sure what is wrong with my phones photos.
