Looking for any info about regulation load used in 9.3x74R Ego double rifle manufactured in 1990?
Can you get a copy of Graeme Wrights book 'Shooting The British Double" might have some help with working out a load.
Unfortunately the Ego factory has been closed for some years now, so we cannot go to the right source.
However, I have been informed by a contact who is very keen on Spanish doubles that the regulation load was Norma Vulcan 232 grains.
Nyati, not being able to go to the source as you point out, this info is very helpful, thank you for your time.Unfortunately the Ego factory has been closed for some years now, so we cannot go to the right source.

rookhawk, thank you for your feedback, 9.3x74R ammo and bullets are hard to obtain in New Zealand.@KiwiHunter if the 232gr bullets don't seem to regulate try the 286gr. Of all the double rifles out there, I'd say you have the easiest job ahead of you with the 9.3x74r because there were two common regulation bullet weights for most guns of the modern era. I would consider buying a box of Norma loaded ammo both the 232 and the 286 oryx and trying them. You may find that a factory load is perfect for that gun straight away, saving you some time.
Let us know how it works out for you.
Thanks stug, will have a look.Gunworks have Prvi Partisan 286gr RN soft points. I've used them in my 9.3x62 with good success.
