TANZANIA: Tz Safari Disagreement

Late to the party.

I read an article about the weapons of the Spanish Felix Barrado in a Spanish magazine. Santiago Escobedo claims to be Spanish...mmm something smells strange in Denmark

Simple solution, Just Gina; dump the chicken on A B's plate, and steal your favourite salad vege back off his ...
@Just Gina is sweet enough to not do that with chicken, she knows I'm not a fan of that disgusting yard bird. But she does it with other things and I put things on her plate, like excess tomatoes. Works out quite well except that I seem to find the weight that she loses;)

This thread is about eating chicken not popcorn lol
And sandwiches:)

Can’t believe how these Spanish threads end up at the veggie bar?

Next minute they will drag the sausage into it from the op:eek:
I wonder what that chorizo was like to get his nickers in such a twisto_O:unsure:
Maybe he didn’t like Peptang on it:ROFLMAO:

What tooo sooon

ps love the table cloth(y)

So, one-post-complainant-forum-member, has remained as one-post-forum member.
How sad.

The OP has only one post and it has spawned three pages of comments…that’s how to hit the hornet nest out of the park.

I hope the outfitter replies to this so we can have a more complete understanding of what happened on this safari.

Lastly, @Just Gina - chicken is not meat. ;)

Well, after eating mustard sardine burritos ONCE on an elk hunt in a driving rain under a tarp in a sleeping bag at a 60 degree angle because the someone I was with forgot to bring the elk meat, I don't complain about most anything food wise when out hunting after that little "adventure". LOL

The quality of the food is important. It’s part of the experience and there’s a big difference between deer camp with the guys and a safari in Tz.

I will also say that if expectations are at a certain level for the client and it was part of the agreement, then there is a problem that should be addressed.

However, addressing it in this manner and misrepresenting who they are by using someone else’s name shows the character of the OP.

Truth is that I’d be more concerned with the quality of the animals and how the hunt was conducted. The food would be important, but I didn’t travel thousands of miles for a gourmet meal.

BeeMaa agree with your last point - “concerned with the Quality of the animals..”. That is all I care about on any guided hunt. Food? As long as it’s enough to sustain my life for the week or 10 days i’m there and doesn’t make me violently ill - that’s good enough. I don’t go on any Hunt for the food and don’t expect good food in Camp - just like I don’t expect a trophy 40” buff in a restaurant (although I will enjoy both if encountered). I’ve been fortunate that I’ve never had “bad food” in a hunting Camp - but then my standards are very reasonable (even Low). The fun part of any meal in Camp - for me - is the conversation that takes place and what I learn form them (other hunters or the PH/Guide). Those “conversations” can Never be replicated anywhere else and just like the Hunt itself, they became part a unique And memorable experience.

I wouldn’t pay any attention to the OP’s post one way or another. To drop in, make one damning post, and then disappear without explanation; not a data source I would trust.

@BRICKBURN may have given them a “timeout”.

Best meal I ever had was not in a Michelin-starred restaurant but somewhere high in Swiss Alps. We hiked all day, pitched camp as snow storm started and ate pasta and potatoes cooked over small backpacker stove. Was about to knock off for some shut eye when a kind Alpsman checking on his cows told us to get off the mountain as fast as possible because a blizzard was approaching. We went down a near vertical mountainside and made it soaking wet and in high spirits to a little German restaurant for schnitzel and beer. It was a very good day.

I was hunting TZ a year ago now, can't wait to get back. We stopped for minimum "starter" supplies in Dodoma while going overland to camp; yes chicken, you have to eat something. After that it was primarily buffalo with hartebeest and warthog towards the end of Safari, it was a buffalo camp after all. The camp staff did a wonderful job in rendering buffalo into very nice and interesting meals. Buffalo tail soup is quite good. Absolutely wonderful trip in every respect; who needs fancy.

How does the buffalo taste? Is it comparable to some other type of meat?

It tastes like chicken. :LOL::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Sorry. I couldn't stop myself. I thought buffalo had a rich, beef taste. We had oxtail, roast and steak.

Safe hunting

To me what taste like chicken was crocodile steak. ;)

Do you have any cull hunts available? 7 days, daily rate plus per animal price?
