Who makes double rifles currently?

Most all quality makers have stateside reps with guns available. Simply pick a brand and research. Happy hunting

Guns International has a category for just dangerous game doubles: https://www.gunsinternational.com/g...-dangerous-game-safari-double-.c476_p1_o6.cfm

But here is a short list of current manufactures to give you a running start, but isn't a complete one by any means

Holland & Holland, Rigby, Westley Richards, Verrny Carron, Chapuis, Heym, Krieghoff, Searcy, Merkel, Zoli, Siace, Rizzini, Perugini Visini, Fausti, and there are more that I just can't remember the names of. Plus a large number of yesteryear manufactures on the used market.

AZDAVE, You did what I was too timid to try. I didn't think about the "qualifier" though. Sabatti is another manufacturer. While the list isn't endless, there are quite a few to choose from.

Good list Dave. I may save it so I will not forget.

And there are some folks who make custom/bespoke doubles if you have the time. Here is one in Colorado that wrote a book on how to do it:

There is also Aaron Little and Bailey Bradshaw in Texas.

You pays your money and takes your choice.

Very good list sir!

Good list. Thank you. That said, I realize I am way out of my league....sometimes I ask that question! I’ll have to stick with my bolt rifles for now.

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.

*PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS FOR MY RIFLE, ALWAYS APPROACH A NEW LOAD CAUTIOUSLY!!*
Rifle is a Pierce long action, 32" 1:8.5 twist Swan{Au} barrel
{You will want a 1:8.5 to run the heavies but can get away with a 1:9}
Peterson .280AI brass, CCI 200 primers, 56.5gr of 4831SC, 184gr Berger Hybrid.

I know that this thread is more than a year old but as a new member I thought I would pass along my .280AI loading.
I am shooting F Open long range rather than hunting but here is what is working for me and I have managed a 198.14 at 800 meters.
That is for 20 shots. The 14 are X's which is a 5" circle.
