And what kind of animal can be hunted?

Not pointers or setters, but scent hounds like beagle, foxhound, bloodhound and sighthounds like greyhound and saluki or bay dogs like rhodesian ridgeback.

Oh rabbits too...forgot that one

Here in Brazil it is only legal to hunt boar as they are considered invasor species. It is legal and normal to use foxhounds, greyhounds and pitbull or dog argentino (as catch dog).

Example:
(catching at 12:23)

Are there foxes in USA?
There are indeed! I have only ever seen one wild fox here in Georgia and regrettably it was dead on the side of the road, but the wildlife education center here has several of them and they are native to this state and others.

But I have no idea about the legality of fox hunting in the USA. Black bear hunting with dogs appears to be legal in North Carolina and in Maine at least.

Fox and bobcats fall under furbearer hunting regulations in our state and can be hunted with dogs...just don’t know many people that train dogs for them but there are some who make pens to run them in. Most dog hunting here is deer and rabbit.

Bobcats appear to be under similar regulations here.

I hunt these with my hounds in Idaho. We only actually kill a small percentage of what we tree, but they are fun to run.

Pigs are hunted in Australia with dogs, Queensland, Northern Territory and New South Wales i can speak for at least with the dogs being used to find and lug the pigs and sometimes bail them. Lug means the dog holds onto the pig like our American friends call a catch dog.
I believe hounds are used to flush deer in Victoria but I've no experience with that.
Our neighbours in New Zealand use dogs for pigs also.

Looks like in Finland it is legal to hunt moose with dogs. I think it is not the case in North America.

Does somebody know if it's possible to hunt in Africa (kudu, wildebeest, impala, blue duiker, blesbuck, warthog, reedbuck, buffalo, bushpig, springhare) with hounds?

Dog are legal to hunt with in Mississippi for- raccoons, squirrels, deer, hogs & escaped convicts.

Do you need to kill the rabbit with a shotgun, or can you use a greyhound (or a falconry) to do the job?

Cottontail rabbits and snowshoe hares are hunted in brush or timber with dogs and a shotgun. Jackrabbits are hunted in open country with sight hounds who catch them.
