This stag was a "mercy killing". He had been in a fight with another bull and had taken a bad beating. His testicles had been ripped off and infection had set in. You can tell the decimated condition he was in. It would have been a slow painful death if we had not stepped in. The .416 Rigby ended it swiftly.
