As stated in the opening post, I am still, and will remain for ever, a Chamois hunter at heart. These are my native hunting grounds in the French Alps:
Be careful.Pretty steep.
I go in wintertime during the rut .And I'm already looking forward to it.
A Steyer Mannlicher Stutzen ?
What caliber do you use for Gams/chaimos ?
Yep, the step is pretty tall LOL.
Steyr Mannlicher Luxus stutzen indeed, with Zeiss 1.5x6-42 on claw mounts, in caliber .270 Win. Good compromise in France/Europe where it shoots flat enough for the distance (Chamois, Mouflon, Bouquetin i.e. Mountain Goat and 'Big Horn' Sheep), does not damage too much the small animals (Chevreuil i.e. Roebuck) but still hits hard enough for the tougher animals (Sanglier i.e. WildBoar, and Cerf i.e. Red Stag).
