35 Cal Rifle

35 Caliber? What is that orange or red at or near the muzzle?

Electrical tape over the muzzle with a few spare wraps also.
It stops sticks and other shit entering the barrel when getting through bush here.

Sambarhunter, I've used that trick myself, although for me it was usually black tape to keep out snow, sleet etc.

The deer dont know the colour when it explodes towards them at 3000 fps,nor do they care lol. My choice is whatever tape is at hand,there has been black,blue,red and green so far...they all work and have done over the past 40 years.
I actually feel a little naked when I havent taped the barrel up.
