I believe there are some wild cattle down in Texas area that are hunted. A guide I know in TX said some come from Mexico and may carry disease so they shoot them when they run into them

you must be referring to the humans making the crossing!!!! There are more coyotes "the actual animal" not the guides who smuggle people crossing the border with ticks than cattle. The USDA is subservient to a flawed beef industry.
