This exceptional Gredos Ibex was taken by a client hunting in the Valley of the Fallen in the Gredos Mountains of Spain. I accompanied him and will never forget how big he appeared next to other silver and gold medal animals on the mountain top. Spain is a wonderful country to hunt, and in contrast to many "Game Departments" that we have in USA that are orientated more towards law enforcement during hunting season, Spain's "game wardens" participate in the hunts and assist with the guiding. Taking an animal like this is a point of pride for them because they consider themselves as stewards of these natural resources. The fact that such an animal got this big under their care made our team especially proud. They celebrated this success as a very special event.
