Sometimes you have to know when it is time to just walk away from something and start again. I added this one to the reject drawer and started again so I could stay with a full tang design.
I got another blade ground, heat treated, hand sanded and pinned the stainless bolster on. There is a great deal of heat when shaping the stainless and this can effect the handle epoxy so I shaped the bolster to about 95% which meant a great deal taken off the 1/2 in thick bar I cut them from and because they are pined and peened there was no heat problem with regular dipping in the water bucket so the blade temper wasn't effected. Tomorrow I will get the handle done and in the clamps till I get back to it after rest day.
