I do know what you mean about a blade up or blade down use and my handles are designed to allow for that with the security of the thumb against the front finger curve and the birdshead conforming to the curve of the palm so it suits comfortably in that position with the handle and hand shape coinsiding in both the blade up and blade down use. The blade down hold is obvious but this is how the handle fits "into" the hand for blade up use.
