went to dillon montana yesterday for an 18 month meat cow.i know this is going to be one of our best tasting ever.was using my scope sighted contender in 45-70.
actually charlie it was a frontal brain shot,she dropped dead right now,but instead of waiting for me to do an insurance shot with my mouse,[22LR Beretta]the ranchers son who was helping his dad,ran in and cut her throat,risking getting kicked during her death throes,lucky it wasnt a trophy bull that i wanted a shoulder mount.luckily no harm was done.it should be some of the best meat we have ever had.
Much better to get meat on this way,as from the industrial farms and slaughter houses.
I envy you about the good meat.
We have no Bison farmer arround here,Ive eaten only once.
It was excellent.
Bison steak with hot-sweet mashed potatoes and winter salad and a Budweiser(or two)
