I used to reload, and I plan to reload again someday. I still have all my equipment. But I have two young kids and no space to set up a reloading bench. So at this point I have to prioritize my free time and right now reloading gets the boot. But hopefully in a few years and can start back up again.
I agree with you. But I don’t reload at the moment and the TTSX is my preferred factory option. The factory cor-locks are like $80 a box vs $55 for the TTSX. I’m just not willing to pay $80 for Remington cor-lock otherwise I’d take that bullet deer hunting.
Mine shoots the 200gn TTSX factory load and the 200 gn Hornady Interlock factory load well, right at MOA. I put a Leupold 2.5-8x36 on mine and I think that’s about the perfect scope for this rifle. I’ll be using this rifle with the 200gn TTSX for whitetails this fall.
I have no doubt that you are correct, this is just what I have to work with for now. Unfortunately I don’t have any good rifle ranges in my area. So this setup has to work for now
I finally was able to get to the range this morning and work out this beautiful rifle. It did not disappoint! I started by sighting in the iron sights at 25 yards and then getting the scope on paper. I used the Hornady 200 grn SP’s for these first shots. Once I was close at 25 yards I moved back...
Thank you. That is a Boyd’s laminate stock. Certainly not the highest quality stock you can get but for the price it’s actually a pretty nice option. And much nicer looking to me than a synthetic stock. That rifle is my bad weather choice.
Unfortunately I got rained out of my range day today. So I still haven’t been able to shoot my new 35 whelen. But I got out my collection of Ruger M77’s and admired them for a while.

I was not able to shoot my rifle this weekend but I should be able to this coming weekend. I have been handling the rifle a lot and really looking it over. It is a beautifully made rifle, but with one exception. The checkering is quite disappointing in my opinion. I’m not sure if it’s pressed or...
I was finally able to pick up my rifle today. It is a fine looking rifle, I can’t wait to shoot it. I threw a Leupold 2.5-8x36 in some Warne QD rings on top. I hope to shoot it this weekend, I’ll be sure to post my results if I do. The only factory ammo I could track down was the 200gn TTSX and...
Looking for one of these scopes in good condition. I would prefer one without CDS dials but I wouldn’t be opposed to one with them. Let me know if you have one of these your willing to part with. Thanks!
I agree and have thought the same thing. I just haven’t had the time to get the range. I plan to do barrel break in and post some groups as soon as I shoot it.
Unbelievably I was able to snag one of these beauties on gun broker tonight, and the price was under $2k! I don’t feel too bad paying a little over msrp considering how limited the availability is on these rifles. This rifle will join my M77 tang safety in 25-06 and my M77 MKII in 30-06. Making...
