Chapuis double have the wedge out the front other than when I looked at it on the first Chapuis I bought it.
The rifle shot VERY well and I never gave it consideration again. I have owned 4 different Chapuis over the years and the 9.3 RGEX in my safe is my Favorite rifle I own.

You can also shoot a lite 22LR off the sticks at 75-100 yards and refine your skills off sticks as any small error is magnified big time. In addition dryfire practice with snap caps in your 404 will pay dividends.
Get you can shoot the rifle with each different hash mark at 100. Measure the distance they are apart on the paper then sit down with a ballistic program and correlate where they will hit based on your hundred yard zero based on the actual ballistics of your load and rifle. Once you do the math...
