    8mm rem mag for PG

More than likely what will happen is ill end up taking my 7mm because I've had it for 20 years now and the 8mm is still relatively new to me but who knows maybe I'll just take both

    8mm rem mag for PG

A little range trip today to confirm zero on the 8mm and 375 before my new practice routine which i am glad I did because I had to make some adjustments, some of the best shooting ive done with this rifle

    8mm rem mag for PG

That's great advice! I'll start bringing my binos with me to the range and start doing drills while wearing them. The only reason I've been doing the 300 yard shot is to try and mimic a back up shot on a fleeing animal

    8mm rem mag for PG

Perfect I'll start leaning into the 8mm more, so far my practice sessions consist of shooting off my bog pod death grip but I keep the claw loose to try and mimic typical shooting sticks, I shoot 1 round at 100 the quickly reload and take a shot at 200, reload and take a shot at 300 and I try...

    8mm rem mag for PG

So I am currently doing my proper preparation for my PG safari in june 2026 which is alot of shooting off sticks. I have narrowed down my rifle choices to 3 and I have been shooting them on a rotational basis. A remington cdl with times trigger and 26" barrel in 7mm rem mag shooting175gr north...

    Accurate 2700 in .375 Ruger

Not in the 375 ruger but have used it in my 375 h&h and 460 wby with decent results, I have since switched to big game powder for both of those rifles

    2024 Deer Season

Buck from my in laws property in north Texas, just trying to add a little meat to the freezer. Taken with my 8mm rem mag which i wanted to try out for a deer season to see if it makes the cut for a pg safari in 26. Still have another hunt to knock out before the end of season, hopefully my son...

    Leupold fxii 2.5 power fail

I can't wait to get it back out on the range and finish up the load development for it, it's been fun to shoot and I can't wait to see what adventures I will have with it

    Leupold fxii 2.5 power fail

So I received the scope back from leupold with no issues and was actually 3 weeks faster than what was quoted for a return, I also purchased new rings from warne I opted for the fixed rings I stead of their quick detached version, I got the new scope and rings all mounted up just waiting for...

    Leupold fxii 2.5 power fail

I am going to get this scope off to leupold sometime this week whenever my schedule permits and I will be getting another set of rings before the new one comes in thats for sure. With this being my first big bore rifle I am learning the hard way on alot of things.

    Leupold fxii 2.5 power fail

I did the mounting and torqued everything to spec with the alaskan rings, should I go ahead and get some different rings?

    Leupold fxii 2.5 power fail

As far as the recoil goes it's not that bad but then again I've got it loaded down to 450 rigby/dakota velocities. I am mainly just bummed because I did a ton of research on getting a scope that I could afford and would hold up to the recoil on top of waiting 2 years to get the rifle built only...
