We had a pre-BASA shoot mental prepping session with @Frederik and @saswart Taste testing a few peaty whiskies and smoking excellent Oliva Series V torpedos. These were absolutely excellent smokes!!!

@Frederik and I taste tested some whiskies. Three Ships 10jr, Ardberg Wee Beasti and Bowmore 12jr and of course we paired it with a cigar of the VF brand. We could not decide on the winner so we will try again this week Friday before our BASA shoot.

I love those NUBs. Especially the Cameroon and Sungrown.

I run a couple of Husqvarnas for felling problem trees every now and then. My Husqvarna 585 with 36" bar is my favorite. In South Africa that is pretty much the biggest bar anyone has ever seen in real life :LOL:

I just use a piece of pool noodle that I cut with a case of which I sharpened the edges. And then cut to length.

Playing around between N540 and N550. Seems like N550 will be my go to

I make my own foam fillers using pool noodles and an unsized 585Nyathi case that I sharpened the mouth of. Cuts is nice and round. Only loaded from 99 to 109gr so far and used fillers every time. I shoot monolithic bullets, so they are on the longer side. But so far so good.

Trying out a Bongani A16, not bad for an elephant turd! Last bit of Lagvulin 16.... sad story...
