- Above plains game all taken with a Browing A-Bolt in 300 Win Mag with 180 Grain Nosler Partitions. Optics: Nightforce. Rifles for next year's DG hunt are Krieghoff Classic in 470 NE (open sights) and Dakota 76 in 375 H&H (with a Swarovski 1.7 x 10).

- Good binoculars (Swarovski EL's) and good boots.
- My best hunting tip
- Practice as much as you can before your trip. Buy a set of hunting sticks (Long-grass makes nice ones) and practice shooting off of the sticks. Also practice a ton taking off-hand "snap" shots - most of my kills were off-hand snap shots as we didn't have the luxory and time of setting up sticks. Also get comfortable with 100-200 yard shots. The closest shot I took was 125 yards!
