    Degol bullets

As far as I know, Andrew Holden of Holdencustomguns in Paderborn Germany, does some business with people in the US. Perhaps he might be of help, getting Wim Degol's bullets to customers in the States. info@Holden.de

What Have You Killed with the 7x57

We are on a hunt for roebucks in Vaestergoetland/Sweden. Five male hunters north oh of 50 and one huntress at the age of 22. Guess what happened? Day three of our hunt, first buck was shot. Anyway, it was a kill by 7x57. Model 98, 175 grains Partition, the grin says it all:

9.3 with Lapua Mega 285’s- question

In Europe, the Lapua Mega has a very good reputation especially in 9.3. Used it on roebuck, fallow deer and wild boars. Being one of the harder bullets it delivers clean wound channels on lighter game and opens up quite nice in heavier game. Not being a professional I would say that the farer...

    Anyone use a drilling?

Just listen to your inner voice, come to the conclusion that 7x57R/16 is sufficient and obey!:giggle:;)

    Need help with a drilling!

Advice from my very experienced gun dealer for test shooting drillings: Load all barrels, let the gun cool down after each shot (roundabout15 mins), rest the forearm circa a hand's width in front of the trigger guard. Hope you enjoy your classic!

Even without a scope, your Drilling with one or two! inserts won't have the advantages of a good double rifle. A double rifle drilling might be the better choice...

Just for thoughts: a Stutzen is something special. If done tasteful, it's just beautiful! Slim, handy, short and a joy to handle. My Mauser66 Stutzen has a length of 38,5", daughters Model 98 Stutzen is at 40" (98 cm, 104 cm). Your 35 Whelen could be a very nice Stutzen! In Europe, quite a lot...
