My favorite African trophies
All of them, or I wouldn't hunt them. I suppose I would always include a zebra and a kudu on every hunt, but my favorite is always the one I am hunting at the moment.

My best hunting tip
Send an extra $5K when you book and allow for serendipity during the hunt. There WILL be the "surprise trophy you can't live without". Make your own shooting sticks and practice off of them regularly before you go. Practice including a local hunt for anything, so you learn how you want to set the sticks up and grip the gun for your shooting. Learn to use your scope whether it's MOA, Mil-radian or 1st or 2nd Focal plane. You'll be much happier than just using it as a magnifier for your eyeball. Know your cartridge trajectory data and consider taping it to your stock with the dial-in required to take a shot at a longer than common distance. LISTEN to your guide/PH. They are your consultant/advisor. Africa will be the best infection you will suffer from chronically for the rest of your life. Be humble, respectful and thankful. Appreciate the country that has hosted you!
