It's been quiet the minute since I've posted but nonetheless Africa is still on my mind everyday...2025 is approaching quickly!
After falling in love with the Lee-speed rifles my time has finally come to have one of my own. I might be jumping the gun on this post but figured I needed to share...
It's been a minute since I've been on here but I am back nonetheless!
With deer season here and gun week coming quickly (I live in OH so we only get 1 week of rifle hunting and it has to be with a straight wall cartridge) I am looking for a classic rifle in a straight wall cartridge. The 1895...
I’ve looked at them online as well as this company. https://alteagallery.com/ the altea Gallery seems legit based off their social media where you can see videos and pictures of them handling their maps for sale.
Figured some of you on here are into cartography or like old maps. Does anyone on here have any cool old maps of Africa or other places you'd like to share?
I’m both, I don’t mind beating up a beautiful rifle (to an extent) I’m not going to throw a nice rifle in the mud but I’m not going to be upset over normal wear and tear on them. Have you had any experience with the Mauser m98’s? A very attractive gun and defiantly fits what I’m looking for. Not...
That’s a very good point. After a few weeks of crying I would probably recover to a manageable level lol.
it’s entirely for nostalgia wanting to go this route. Having my name in the rigby ledgers and all that other cool stuff I really enjoy and to me is worth the money. I rarely sell guns so...
I’ve never had a custom rifle made so how far does that price range get me? I don’t want a museum looking rifle just something with decent wood and nicely polished steel. Quality is the main thing here rather than looks.
Price isn’t a main concern but that said I’m not in the market for a 6 figure gun lol. Something around 15-20k. I know I won’t be satisfied with an off the shelf rifle it’s just the way I am. With that budget though if I can get something quality and to my desires for less then that I’m all...
What I want is a Mauser action rigby just not sure what’s currently being produced. They claim Mauser actions but want to be sure it isn’t something that’s rolling down the blaser production line when spending that much money on one. I do like the Mauser rifles. They are still in the price range...
That’s what I read on their website and if true then I’d want to go with a rigby. I was told by a friend who is into them more than I am that they are made in the blaser plant. Not sure which is true. I just want a traditionally made English big bore bolt gun. I wouldn’t mind a vintage rigby but...
