Thanks for all the recommendations. Looking forward to meeting them, working my tail off to get on animals and getting spoiled back at camp. 10 days for departure now!!

    6 weeks out to Namibia

I have a pretty decent First Aid Kit that I build myself, I think it is a great idea to bring a clone of it, with plans to leave with them at the end of the trip. I love cooking and always think about the staff "behind the scenes" realizing how much effort they put in everything. I have cooked...

Planning on copies of documents, but thanks for the reminder. Didn't think to leave antibiotics with them, but will do so. Getting more and more excited as I get closer

I will tell them for sure. You recommended Kowas and that is the reason I ended up going with them after looking up different outfits. Plane tickets are purchased, working on narrowing down gear to take, I'm thinking: Clothes 3 hunting/travel pants (Should I take a briar/upland pant?) 3...

    6 weeks out to Namibia

Randy, I sent them a WhatsApp, I believe we're gonna do a Kowas guided game-tour (if Erindi open) and I will look into lodging in Mushara Lodge by Etosha x2 nights.

Randy, thanks a lot. It seemed on the website that Erindi was closed due to COVID, but it may have been temporary. Will check again with them. I will probably pick your brain soon, as I get closer and nerves start acting up

    Camera Lens

Thanks! I'll check them out at some point. My guess is for wildlife, most will be pictures with decent sunlight, so the aperture range may not be as critical

    Camera Lens

I have a Nikon D7000, which currently had a Tamron 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC LD. This is a neat lens, though sometimes I can see it lacking speed in less than ideally illuminated areas (indoors), and on very long zoomed in pics. I am planning a trip to Africa next year, and though it is a...

Hello guys. New guy here, currently in Houston, Tx. I am planning my first (hopefully of many) trips to Africa, most likely Namibia and I am already in touch with Kowas Hunting Safaris. I have been cruising the forums trying to obtain as much knowledge and information as possible. I am amazed...
