IMO you'd be behind on that trade by 2k or more if you shop around. Maybe sell the GMT then buy. This is also just my opinion but ~8k is a lot for what that watch offers. If you're deadset on Rolex I get it, but something like an Omega AT is an objectively better watch for about half the money.
In other news I picked up an 80s era Sandoz Diver in Hong Kong on vacation for $200. Sandoz was one of the Swiss brands killed during the quartz crisis and I’ve always had a soft spot for their Submariner homage. This one’s been rebuilt a few times and the crystal bezel and crown are replaced. I...
The real crime here is that’s a big watch even by men’s standards and chronographs are one of the least useful complications on a watch plus on a Daytona the pushers are screwdown so it’s doubly useless unless you run around with them unscrewed all the time. Maybe she was taking her split times...
Yeah it’s possible. Your PO? If it’s running strong I probably wouldn’t worry about it. If it starts running abnormally to its baseline it’s time. One good thing about co axials vs a Swiss lever is they’re not as dependent on pallet jewel lube to maintain accuracy. Downside is I’ve seen some...
According to my time grapher it’s running 0 seconds a day with .3m/s beat error dial up and jumps to +1 in some positions. So running well within master chronometer specs. It’s a 2020 model but looks to have not been worn much. Haven’t had it on the time grapher for very long though fedex just...
Too thick and most importantly no quick adjust lol! I’ve been leaning towards thinner for hunting because of how the layers of cuffs interact and annoy me. Last season wore a komandirskie tanker manual wind on leather mostly that runs about +20 a day lol.
Bighorn (never gonna happen)
Bull elephant (maybe soon budget constraints)
Spear a nice yellowfin tuna (getting fatter and older every day)
solid typical representative muley (try every year I can, refuse to pay or leave home unit, hasn’t happened yet)
For what it's worth it's like hunting any where. Your spot in the states might be tough, but the neighbors could be loaded and easy etc. Here that would be shooting whitetails off alfalfa. Sit in a blind and pick one out. Don't have an alfalfa field? Might be pretty tough.
One thing that is...
Well I did 21 miles on foot in a day and a morning but can't seem to come up with much, at least of the right thing. Passed on some little forky muleys and a little basket rack 4x4 whitetail but can't seem to find the dominant bucks. Of course I bump into this guy out of season, pretty good bull...
IMO the evacuation service from global rescue is more than worth it for a temp membership...Imagine you got in a car accident during a commute, they will get you home at least and not saddle your family with the logistics and financing of all that. A couple hundred bucks for a little peace of mind.
