Want To Buy 7mm 160gr or 175gr bullets - Swift A-Frame or Northfork

I can't speak to a recommended OAL as I don't personally load for the 7x57, but I can say that our bullets generally like a healthy amount of jump. My most recent small caliber load dev for my 8 mag is a good example. It's box mag barely allows a spec 3.60" OAL, and I found the deeper I was...

    North Fork 8mm Rem Mag

I am using Nosler brass for this load.

    North Fork 8mm Rem Mag

Thank you for the comments. The listed BCs are indeed correct. Our .323" SS offerings all have a protected tip, and thus a more sleek profile as compared to say the .308" SS bullets. Here is a .323" 220gr SS for reference: As you can see, a much different profile than an A-Frame. Good luck...

Want To Buy 7mm 160gr or 175gr bullets - Swift A-Frame or Northfork

The two that I would recommend comparing to would be Barnes TSX and Swift A-frame. A general rule of thumb for calibers of this size class would be achieving the same published velocity with ~1 gr less powder with our SS bullet of the same weight. Of course a multitude of items could alter...

Want To Buy 7mm 160gr or 175gr bullets - Swift A-Frame or Northfork

We do not currently have a load data sheet for the 7x57. We are working to grow our load database, but as you can see we certainly don't have every cartridge offering that one may need. I would be happy to help you directly in making a recommendation. I have assisted many others here on AH...

Want To Buy 7mm 160gr or 175gr bullets - Swift A-Frame or Northfork

This is correct. The SS in our smaller bore offerings have the proper jacket thickness to expand fully in thin skinned game, thus having no need for small caliber PP versions. The breakover point here is at .366 and .375.....The .366 300gr SS has the jacket thickness for buff, but the 250gr...

    North Fork 8mm Rem Mag

Got a chance on whitetail yesterday evening....quartering-to shot at about 150 yds on the leading shoulder that zipped right through. The big 8 really hammers them hard. Obviously no bullet recovery, but a DRT buck and produced a nice exit hole!

North Fork bullets expansion on higher velocities

As several have pointed out (and thanks to you all!), the premise outlined in the OP does not make sense at all. Nothing in our SS line has a "top end" velocity. By its design the performance only increases with increased velocity. The low end velocity performance is impressive as well...

Hey Devin, Jay with North Fork here. I'll shoot you a PM. Thanks

    North Fork 8mm Rem Mag

Should be great moose medicine indeed. I'm also going to work up a load for our 200gr all copper CPX and compare the 2 on pigs.

416 Taylor load data for Barnes bullets

IMR4320 is extremely accurate and gives great velocities in the 416 Taylor. But as previously mentioned, sadly discontinued. I stock piled as much as I could when it was announced to be next on the chopping block. But I've also reworked some of my loads with different powders and found Varget...

    North Fork 8mm Rem Mag

This weekend I was able to do some load development for my Ralph Bone custom Mauser 8mm Rem Mag. I acquired this rifle a few years back, but living overseas until recently I never had the time to shoot it until now. I started with our 180gr SS bullet and H4831SC. Was able to get them up to...

    460 S&W hunting bullet

Jay with North Fork here. Our bullets are indeed made in Sweden since 2020, with distribution to several countries across the globe. We do make a few pistol pistol bullets, including for your 460 S&W...

    416 Rigby & 400gr North Forks

Jay with North Fork here. I'll PM you our load data sheet for the Rigby and provide some further context. The PP is indeed highly effective for large plains game. But for buff we will always recommend the best tool for the job, which is either the SS or CPS, depending on the application...
