Of course , unless if you really neglect your arms and happen to live / hunt regularly in an area with high concentrations of salt water ; this is unlikely to happen . My own arms have blued steel barrels and in the last 40 plus years , I have never experienced any need to make a switch to...

    Three Cheetahs In One Evening

@Wheels Thank you . I should stress that even at the age of 19 , the only reason why Joy and I dared to try using a .22 LR on cheetahs was because : A . They were lying down . B . There was a stream between us and I knew that they could not charge , should our experiment prove unsuccessful (...

Which chambering for hunting plains Game?

@bruce moulds I beg to differ . I find 500 grain Nosler Partition soft nosed bullets to be quite excellent in my .458 WM ( Winchester Magnum ) . If you do not like Nosler Partition bullets and would prefer something else ( like a Swift A Frame ) , then that is fine .

@StephenZambia No . Cheetahs ( as English speaking countries recognize them ) went extinct in South East Asia in 1949 . That is at least 22 years before Bangladesh became independent .

1977 . I was appointed to shoot a rogue Asiatic elephant . I was carrying my .458 WM (Winchester Magnum ) . It was custom built on a Winchester Enfield 1917 action with a Douglas Premium barrel and a French walnut stock by Flaig’s in Millvale , Pennsylvania . I was using Winchester Super...

@Andrew Short Thank you . It was very foolish of me to go after those cheetahs with a .22 LR . But I was a reckless teenager at the time . If I had to do it all over again , then I would use my .458 WM and a 500 grain Nosler Partition soft point bullet .
