Leupold VX6 1-6 Firedot. 30 mm Non HD. CDS. Excellent condition. Has what I'd call a circle duplex reticle (see pic). I don't have the original box. I don't do electronic payments, so personal check (will hold shipping until it clears) or USPS money order. $935 tyd. Only trades would be...
Really appreciate all the insight on this thread even though it just cost me some $$$. Have some Gunstix on order. Need to get some practice in and will use the .22LR suggestion.
At a minimum, if I were interested, I'd make sure to do a video call with the seller holding the item. To me the note looks photo shopped. I'm just north of Denver so if someone is really interested, I'd be willing to meet the seller to verify the rifle.
I believe his name was Robert Sheen. Deceased now. Was past president of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild. Interesting feature is it has an octagon barrel with the sling ‘stud’ machined as an integral part of the barrel.
A friend of mine from Maryland did a pack in bighorn hunt in 2023 and took a very nice ram. Rode in on a gnarly trail 24 miles to base camp. He was 83. Last year he and I did an aoudad hunt in January and a brown bear hunt in June. In March he went to Mexico for ocellated turkey and in October...
biggergun-good luck at the match. My neighbor isn't going this year. He finished second the first time he shot it around 10 years ago and won it the next year!
After all the years and threads about scams, if someone doesn't do a video call with the seller holding the item, they get what they deserve. Just my .02!
Thanks Pat! I have a .375 like yours and if it was closer, the .458 would be in my safe! Still thinking about this one but hate the risk of shipping. Free bump!
My 2 Bighorns, a grizzly and mtn. goat are full body. I really like them if you have room. Just got my brown bear hide and skull back and haven't decided what to do with it yet.
I'm confused. The other fellow is looking for a long range reticle which has the 2 dots below the center dot. The box for this scope shows the standard duplex reticle. Is the box for a different scope? Could you confirm with a photo which reticle is actually in the scope? Thanks much.
I use the Sitka large and small with wheels. For my AK bear hunt last spring, since the final flight was by Super Cub, we couldn't use a hard style bag so I put my soft duffel inside the large Sitka. Kept my 'street clothes' in the Sitka and kept it at the outfitter's garage and the soft...
My Rifles, Inc. Strata, .375 H&H. Haven't weighed it, but my best guess is about 6 lbs. bare. A dream to shoot and did fine on last year's brown bear hunt.
Optics and Ammo is a well publicized scammer. He recently was prosecuted and spend, if I recall about a year in jail. Last I read is he's out now and back trying to scam with the same name and site.
Not sure this post will help in your decision. I currently drive a 2023 Ram diesel. It's my 9th since the first in 1991. Never had any issues with any of them. Before getting the current truck, I had a 2018 Ram 3500 diesel and a 2019 Ram Powerwagon with the 6.4 Hemi, 8 speed transmission as...
On my most recent flight, I put an Apple AirTag in my gun case (hidden in a slit in the foam). Gave me piece of mind when I could see my gun made it on the flight and also where it was in the airport for delivery to oversize baggage claim.
I have a Montana in .223 and have been happy with it. Had a Kimber 30 years ago that was a problem and wouldn't eject half the time. Glad to hear they have corrected the issues.
Selling my like new Swarovski 10x30 CL Companion binoculars. This is the newest version. Never left the house and selling to fund some Swaro range finding binos. Come with box, manual, straps and urban jungle case. $850 tyd. No electronic payments. Personal check or USPS money order...
I had 10x 42 EL's, sold them and got 12 x 42 NL's. Yes, there is a difference, but not a significant amount to my eyes. Best would be to try both side by side and see which work best for your eyes.
I have the 3-15 w/Firedot on my 6.5. I like the scope, but it's a bit large for my tastes. Took an aoudad at 378 with it in Jan. In that scenario, the Firedot was priceless. I don't believe I would/could have taken the shot without it. Near dark, overcast with haze. I have several other...
From approximately 1966 to 1974, the wood used in Browning stocks, forearms, etc. had leached salt into it while growing. When you put the metal action against the wood and add humidity, it causes rust on the action, buttplate screws, etc. Often not noticeable unless the action is pulled. In...
You're right in regard to payment in the foreign country. An acquaintance of mine and wife were in Switzerland this spring. The wife had a medical incident and since Medicare wouldn't cover and they wouldn't take health insurance from a U.S. company, they had to pay $40,000 before the hospital...
If you don't mind, post the serial number. That will determine if it's a salt era gun or not. If it is salt era, any damage is often not visible unless you take the stock off or pull a screw from the pad.
I've never sold on Gunbroker, but have bought some things. With the costs for shipping, sales tax, GB service fee and credit card fees, I'm pretty much done using them.
Same as others. I used AirTags on my recent Alaskan trip. Gave me peace of mind because I could see my bag and rifle case made it onto the plane and could see when the gun case was at the oversized bag area ready for pick up.
