They are both 3+1, there’s almost enough room in the 8x68 , as is, for another round though. I’ve used the Parker Hale safety on both of them, not the best but out here the model 70 style are so expensive as to be ridiculous, I’ve only fitted iron sights to the 404 with quick release rings gumpy

I’m a glutton for punishment, I’ve also built an 8x68S on a Parker Hale 98 action and have done a lot of the same work again on that. When I have more time I’ll make replacement perch belly bottom metal plates for them both which will hopefully get one more round down in each gumpy
