Thank you for the feedback and what an exceptional Ibex you took, that thing is a beast. I narrowed it down to Ibex and am looking at a couple outfitters and figuring out dates. Seems like one of the last great international value hunts out there.
Thank you again,
Marcus
This hunting trip was just a portion of my Honeymoon so for the sake of being balanced I didn't have a lot of time to hunt. That being said there were plenty of opportunities, the area is a very target rich environment and my guide was adapt at finding quality stags. However I wasn't holding up...
With what seems to be a rapidly declining stability in the regions surrounding Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan are others letting that factor in to what they book in the next couple of years? I would hate to book and then see things really decline in the region
Absaroka has tons of history and i imagine gorgeous country, i'll be out in WY west of the Tetons if i draw the tag this year along with a few other local hunts here in CA and Rusa deer in New Caledonia next month.
Congratulations, that should be incredible, Dalls are on my list of hunts i'd like to do in the next few years i just wanted to make an overseas trip while i didn't have kids plus Dalls are typically a bit more than i can justify spending at this point. I'm hoping to stay around 10k. Have you...
I've been looking at the Goat and Sheep up North but am thinking Asia Mountains while i don;t have kids and its still legal to hunt/import. My thinking is that i will have more time to hunt closer to home (the States) with family etc. The snow sheep i believe are 9k-15k depending on species...
I am hoping to learn from those more experienced than myself, I am trying to lock down a mountain hunt 2017 chasing goats or sheep and can't mortgage my home to do it. I am currently looking at Tur in AZJ, Snow Sheep in Rus, or Ibex in Taj and was hoping for input on anyone that can speak to the...
Thank you sir, and I certainly know I am a lucky man. I am locking down dates now and am looking forward to hunting during those summer dry months that will help hold me over till are fall hunting season.
Cheers,
M.V.
Looks like I am headed out next year, and a hop skip and jump away from the pulling the trigger with Belle New Caledonia Safaris...any thoughts or perhaps lines on who else may be good to look at. As for the antler growth, moisture at the right times is imperative and can make a HUGE difference...
I heard this evening that Zimbabwe has banned "all" trophy hunting and delta, united, & American Airlines have banned all shipping of "trophies" has anyone heard anything regarding this news?
I'm trying to sneak in a honeymoon hunt and i'm pushing hard for SA but i'm hedging my bets by throwing New Caledonia or maybe Spain in the Mix. Any international hunters out there that have hunting New Caledonia and have some feedback.
Cheers,
M.V.
I hope one day I get to find out first hand what it's all about, maybe when i make it across the pond next year i'll get a glimpse. I've actually never had the honor of taking a ram in the mtns but I've been pinned down in the snow and wind freezing balls enough to know how miserable it can be
Being a new member could someone shed some light on why there seems to be a lot of trophy fee's for nyala that are less than what the offer here is? is it the quality or the free range side of it?
this isn't meant to offend at all i'm just trying to learn what to look for
I may be a little biased but I'm going to go with a Full Curl and Flared out Dall Sheep from the Yukon, there's something about hunting in the Mountains and the suffering that can bring that makes the harvest so much more of an accomplishment.
Haha thanks gentlemen i'm psyched for next year it should be incredible, just trying to keep my head down and work during the day to pay for the trip while researching in the evening and it seems like the East Cape will help my dollar go a bit further which is always helpful.
Good morning gents,
I wanted to introduce myself as I am new to the forum and am very impressed out how helpful and receptive everyone has been. Of course as one might imagine I am planning my first safari as part of my honeymoon in June 2016 and will be hopefully looking at the spiral slam (but...
That sounds like an incredible trip and may take quite some time to harvest that list, it'll be a lot of fun that's for sure. Hi stands for Hawaii, the islands have a strong population of free range game animals from pigs, deer, to pheasant.
Thanks gents, I've always done something similar just concerned with it being AF and being up shits creek when I'm back in the states with no trophies. That Chital/Axis I was able to take last month across the pond in HI and if you ever need a line on who to hunt with out there I had a great...
I am new to this forum and as one might have guessed.... looking into my first African Hunt for 2016. When i think booking agent what comes to mind is either high end $$ hunts for those who can afford the world or the other side where deals are to be had since there is enough volume produced...
