9.3x62mm will be perfect as the second rifle. One of the trackers can carry it. I never hunt DG and only take one rifle I always take 2.....calibers will depend on what we are hunting but my 500 Jeff always gets to go....

404 Jeff and 9.3x62mm is what I would recommend.....

To put it in perspective...... From the 1/3 to 1/2 way up the depth of the body aiming slightly higher cannot put you 3/4 up the depth of the body, definately not on a kudu......and that after shooting the front leg off an impala......either scope or a shooter issue.....from what I read and...

So you yourself do not know how to judge the difference between 100 and 200 yards? How do you do it when you hunt at home or is this your first hunt? Properly sighted rifle at 100 or 200 should still at the very least hit both lungs......Blaming someone else for the shortcomings is not fair.....

I dont grip the bolt when cycling the bolt and no I dont slap myself in the face when cycling the bolt. As with all things each have their preferance...for me smooth uncheckered bolt is what I prefer

Have no idea to be honest but for me in Africa I dont wear gloves when hunting and with the open palm technique I dont need the checkering

My pg favourites are... 6.5x57mm or 6.5x57R 140gr perfect springbuck, blesbuck, hartrbeest etc. Open areas. 7x57mm or 7x57R 170-175gr bullets bushveld, just about anything 9.3x62mm or 9.3x64R 286 or 300gr larger pg in bushveld 7x64mm Brenneke or 7x65R 160 or 170gr larger pg in open areas and...

Bolt knobs should be uncheckered.....for the palm loading dg users anyway.....

Agree.......strange what the 458 wm guys cime up with to justify the round...... 500 Jeff with 570 or 600gr bullets is devistatingly effective......so is a 505 Gibbs with 600gr bullets. Cannot even start comparing them to the 458 wm as there is no cimparison......

All the ones I have seen have been impeccable.... Only negetive I can come up with is they build doubles on any type of cartridge such as 458 wm...

Cool makes sense I can only imagine the recoil and torque of such a rifle with full power loads......my 500 Jeff is a peashooter in comparison but can also be authoritive when you start loading it above 2300fps.....I topped out at 2450fps with 570 gr bullets......that was wild and recovery time...
