Didn’t see anything listed on this site about them. It is primarily bow hunting and would be especially interested of reports involving spot and stalk for Cape buffalo and PG.
Thanks
Kruger Human and Marakalalo Taxidermy seem to have good reviews on here. Has anyone used them recently for D&P services? Positives and negatives are welcome. Feel free to message me back channel if you don't want to share publicly.
Thanks
I am going on my first safari with my dad and brother in a couple weeks and I would like to have something unique made from a part of the animal taken into some sort of gift/souvenir to remember the trip. Obviously the horns and skulls will stay intact but I would be interested in any gift...
So I posted an earlier thread stating that I found out after I booked my airfare that I cannot take broadheads through Amsterdam (apparently they are far more lethal than the guns they allow to be transported through). Thanks to generosity of a fellow AHer (TXHunter65), my BHs will be getting...
Apparently my bar is set too high but I have yet to go over and hunt. Would you mind sharing who did this work?
I would be very frustrated with the outcome of this despite the fact that you were lucky in that the major screw ups are on animals that will be shoulder mounted but had you planned...
I sent an email to Swift Dip and have yet to hear a reply so I will post it here. Will they pick up your trophies from anywhere in SA or do you have to be hunting relatively close to their location? Do they charge to pick it up?
Point taken! I just saw that I can purchase my BHs on Amazon and have them shipped to South Africa for a reasonable price (the quotes I got from DHL were absurd for such a small package). I am still trying to figure the logistics of this out but I am assuming it would be shipped via courier and...
So the flights we booked go through Amsterdam and I recently found out that I can't take broadheads through that airport. I am planning on shipping my broadheads but I certainly trust other hunters to get them there over the SA postal service. I wanted to check here to see if any US hunters are...
They replied to my inquiry and stated that the above mentioned form will NOT work for broadheads. I guess the only option when traveling through Amsterdam is to ship your broadheads ahead of time or purchase in South Africa.
Thanks. I have sent them an email to inquire about this. Any AH hunters have success with this form? Has anyone tried to travel through Amsterdam with broadheads recently? It seems much of the information on forums is a bit dated.
I certainly don't want to hijack this thread but it seems relevant given the report of lack of "younger" hunters at these conventions. I suppose I would be considered a younger hunter (age 36) and I am going on my first African hunt in May this year (Needless to say I can't wait!). We did a lot...
We (Dad, brother, and I) have plans for our first African hunt in May 19. We are doing a plains game package in Eastern Cape and we are trying to wade through the weeds of trying to figure out the logistics of getting our trophies back to us (any information is gladly welcomed).
I see that...
