I found myself with some time to kill in Wyoming last week after tagging out early on deer and pronghorn, so I picked up a small game license and chased these little devils around for a few days. What a blast!

I have to give the credit for the photo to my son in law. I was focused on getting the animal cleaned, loaded and back to camp before the sun went completely down, he is the one that said, "we can't miss this photo op".

It was an amazing adventure for sure, about as close to a safari as you're going to get. I probably wouldn't do it again in May though, the triple digit temps and humidity added an extra layer of brutality to an already tough hunt.

Whitetail season for me wasn't the best this year, very little deer movement around here during the two-week season. But it wasn't a total bust I did manage to get my 300 BLK a little action with this nice doe.

Usually that is the case but for whatever reason they did not manufacture the 2.125"- 38-55 cases for quite sometime.

As far as bullets go, I've been using Hawk Inc. bullets made just for the 38-55 and have been getting great results.
