That is a lot of threaded barrel. I still think having the tuner drilled out (turned into a muzzle brake) might be the easiest solution. Otherwise I believe you may need to have a smith cut of part of the threaded barrel. 1.3 inches is a lot of threads. Just throwing out ideas.

My Chapuis in 375 H&H kicks out the empties just fine. I have no concerns about using it.

I would have zero interest personally. Does not do anything for me and I would not want to shoot it just for the sake of shooting it.

Sent my nephew last summer to South Africa with handloads using the 129 gr barnes LRX. Sable, kudu and on down the list without any issues.

The barrel is on the action. It is a Krieger. I will have it cut down to 25 inches I think. I like long barrels on rifles. Sights have been ordered. Inletting has not yet been done.

Winchester M70 Classic Super Grade would be nice. Depending on budget, I would be tempted to look for a nice custom on either an M70 or a mauser action.

I do know he built some falling block rifles (farquharson style) and his guns do pop up from time to time. I have a 300 H&H M70 that he restocked. I spoke with him about a year ago on the phone. He was pretty well up in age. Nice man.

Manufacturers tend to post the velocity of their ammo so seems likely people are going to ask if you custom load ammo and don't list a velocity. I would have asked.

Wonder if it is difficult to get them into the US? Hawk also makes bullets in this caliber. They should be available in the next week or 2. Old school bullet though and reviews are mixed.

My CZ shoots 1/2 inch groups with the Hornady 35 gn Vmax but I have heard good things about Ruger accuracy now that they are making their own barrels. I need one of these Rugers!

Bolt should be locked in the third position (safety on).

Head space may also be a little tight. You could also try a different brand of ammo. Shoulder may be a little forward on the ammo you have.
