Montana Rifle Company TSAVO in .375 H&H - Shooting!!!

We make short, long, and magnum receivers. The long and magnum actions share the same footprint, but have different bolt stroke and ejection port dimensions. Same rifle sir, we hadn't named it or finalized the price at that time. The rifle you looked at probably had the thread protector...

Montana Rifle Company TSAVO in .375 H&H - Shooting!!!

Weight is just over 8lbs without the scope. Center of mass is right at the front action screw for carry balance. Lefties are in the works, but I can't give you a firm date. Pre-64 M70 trigger geometry. Sear and trigger are wire EDM cut A2 tool steel, hardened and tempered to 56-59 Rc...

The Tsavo receiver is designed to mimic the spacing/hole pattern of the post-64 safari magnum M70 (.330" rear). We wanted something off the shelf that everyone can find. Talley, Leupold, Warne, Recknagel, EGW, DNZ, and even Winchester make mounts that fit.

@Muskox , what's with the hate? Bowhunting has nothing to do with offering the Tsavo with the a classic style receiver profile. Why do you think every other rifle we offer has an integral pic base? Because it makes sense. Do some research on what your fellow AH members reaction to our...

Crown is a recessed dish (flat). Unfortunately, we don't have the capacity at the moment for custom orders. 404J won't be happening for a while. If I had to put a date on it, I'd say early next year. Case length isn't the issue with these cartridges, it's the base diameter. The Rigby and...

The new DGRs (now named the Tsavo) do not have the integrated pic rail. Pictures four through seven in Jay's first post are pretty close to what the production rifles will look like. Screw pattern and bridge contour mimics the post '64 .330" magnum pattern so you can pick your base as needed...

Minor correction- the reinforcing rod is carbon fiber. The stocks are the only thing we don't make in house with the exception of a few springs and stampings. Unfortunately, we do not work on Kalispell built rifles. The Legacy warranty referred to on our website is a lifetime warranty that's...

Hi Yukontom, I look forward to meeting you in Nashville! The integral pic rail is a very polarizing feature. I remember the uproar when we debuted it last year. "Aesthetically disgusting cheese-grater" was my personal favorite of the critic's descriptions. What it boils down to is we...

Hi Mark! Jay speaks pretty highly of you, and I know I've heard your name before (probably from Don Morgan at some point). It turns out we're all BWSA members, and I deer hunt just north of Jay's town. When the tundra thaws, and schedules permit, I'd love to pick your and Jay's brains on a...
