The wait will be worth it I'm sure! I went to the Quigley shoot in Montana one year just for grins. We were out there on vacation. Pretty neat to watch those guys bang steel at long range with those rifles and the iron sights.

Looks like ill be an echo to others (as usual.) I got everything done with ease, including a 450 yard shot on a baboon, with a plain old duplex. That was the longest shot I've ever made. But for the average 200 and under hunting, I love the Leupold Duplex Firedot reticles.

2024 was a good one. Aside from Africa, I'm drawing a blank on anything especially crazy. First trip to Africa - 10 days in SA with my wife at Frontier Safaris. Many shorter trips, traveling the US. Welcomed another nephew to the fold.

Stayed at Afton earlier this year. Overnight, went great for us. Had them do my rifle permit, airport pickup etc. Went great. The place was nice, slept well, great food. No complaints. Will try African Sky eventually.

Windy as all heck here in Southern IL. 27 mph gusts aren't exactly tree stand weather. Finally cooling down though, just in time for gun season.

Feel like such a novice commenting on these posts. But I will anyways, and its an echo of others. TSX worked great for me. I was working on a sirocco load but didn't get it dialed in enough to take. The federal 165 gr TSX factory load just shot so well out of my m70 30-06.

Some great ones taken so far! I'm chasing a few bucks from the cameras all over the farm. Put some meat in the freezer on Friday with my bow by the way of 2 smaller does. Plan on chasing bucks and shooting another doe with dad's 44 mag just to say I did it. Good luck to all!

I've used the Federal Premium ammo loaded with the 165 and 180 grain Barnes TSX and have no complaints. Shoots really well out of my model 70.
