I have an African trip planned. I am taking my 375 ruger for Buffalo. As everyone knows, I can't find brass to load. I am thinking of trying to form some from 300PRC brass. My question is: will I have trouble taking ammo into South Africa if the head stamp doesn't match the rifle caliber...

This may be a stupid question. I have no experience forming brass. I have heard that 300 PRC brass could be put through a 375 Ruger resizing die to form 375 brass. Is this an option?

If not already sold, I would be interested in the ammo and cases.

I think I have my load. 76gr Win760 with 300gr barnes TSX. The string on the left are mr adjusting scope. The 2 in the middle are final shots at 100 yd. Should be good for Buffalo

I feel your pain. I went on my first African trip in May. My wife, who never cared for hunting, went too. She loved the country and enjoyed going along on the hunts. Now she wants to go back and do some hunting herself. At least I get another trip

I would be interested in the 375 ruger brass

I want to work up a load for my 375ruger. I am using 300gr barnes TSX and Win 760 powder. Barnes says 71.5 to 78.5 grains for this powder and bullet. Any one have any thoughts on this?

I shoot 168gr TTSX over either imr4064 or H4350. The Barnes people say the longer 168gr is made for 30-06. The shorter 165s are for 308 shorter action. worked great in Africa on everything from Impala to zebra and wildebeest

Just acquired a new ruger african in 375 ruger. Needs a scope. My choices are leupold freedom LPV or Votex diamondback also LPV any suggestions

Just bought a Ruger Hawkeye African in 375 Ruger from a gentleman here in the classifieds. The rifle is great. I'm looking to replace the ruger pad. Will a pad for the mk77 fit this rifle? I can not find specific listing for this rifle. Appreciate the help Oh looking at Limb saver

I am going back to South Africa in 2026. Want to hunt buffalo this time. My PH says the have a 375 I can use. I can practice here with a friends 416 Rem. since I have never shot a DG rifle before my question is how does the recoil compare between these guns?

hunted with Motsomi Safaris. they were excellent. the food was wonderful. I hunted Impala, Blesbok, Zebra, Wildebeest, warthog, and of course the Sable. My PH was PC ,the son of the owners. He was very knowledgeable, and great to hunt with. this was all in Limpopo province

just got back from my first hunt in south africa. It was the best vacation yet. I collected all five animals on my package plus a beautiful old sable bull as an add on. My wife loved it so much she is already planning our next trip. she now wants to hunt as well. hope to post some pics soon

I am shooting barnes 168gr. Have used IMR 4064 49.5 gr and H4350 55gr both shot very well

I was working up a load for my 30-06 for an up coming SA hunt. I decided on 49.5 gr of IMR 4064 with a Barnes 168gr bullet. Now I can't find any 4064 any where. I have been thinking of trying H4350. Any one have any thoughts on this choice?
