I have used a ladder stand on more than one occasion and I can say it is a real enjoyable time. Yes I have been busted by monkeys, but no different than red squirrels back home. It may get a little exciting when you have a Mamba in the same tree, but still a thrill nonetheless.

We walked it twice, but that took us 4 days. If you walked the whole thig three times in one day, damn I can understand how you missed things. We averaged 7-9 miles a day according to my wifes watch. You must be in shape for that sheep hunt!

I just had my second pair of La Sportiva start peeling away the sole again. They are fantastic boots, but my experiance is they have a very short life. I think I am ordering a new pair of Zamberlin and going to try a different route. The 2090 Mountain pro I think will be my next choice.

One of my toys is a Bronco Badlands. Really great ride, you will not be disappointed. I also have a diesel rubicon Gladiator. The Jeep is pretty built so not much can match the off road capabilities of that rig with the diesel, but we certainly love both rides.

Personally I think may can sometimes be a little early. I have been there before in May and one year it rained all week. Late June is a great time.
