On behalf of a friend I'm looking for some 256 Newton brass, I am in Australia, but have a MYUSA.com address in Florida.

I know that they're easily made from 06 brass, but it would be nice to have some of the real thing.

Many thanks in advance,
Mal the Kiwi.

Mal, I might have some Jamison brass and will check. I bought some for my little Newton along with 30N for its brother. The 256N is a great caliber, too bad it wasn't picked up by gun makers.

How will you get the brass from Florida to Austrailia? I ask because I am looking for some 9.3x82r that Bertram makes but Bertram USA does not carry (also tehy are going out of business) Would it be possible for you to get that brass from Bertram and ship to USA?

That is a way to get 256N brass, from either 30/06 270WCF or better 25/06. People also h=just shoirten parent brass and run thru 256N reloading dies. Won
t be correctly headstamped but will shoot fine.

You don't need to find .256 Newton brass mate as it is very easily made out of 30-06 brass.
It's basically just the 6.5-06 slightly improved.
Hopefully you know .256 isn't the bore size it's the land size. The actual bore diameter is .264.

@85lc
I have shipped brass and projectiles to the USA from Australia without any problems. I even declared them as brass cases.
It's news to me that Bertram is going out of business.

Bertram isn't going out of business. Their US distributor BertramUSA is shutting down.

Saw a good looking knife you posted a pic of with the watermelon. Can I ask the make? Looks like you hunted with Guav Johnson? We overlapped in the Save once. Would like to hunt with him one day..
