This made my day.

Went out today to validate the promising results of a OCW load test from last week.
Rifle - Winchester Safari M70
Scope - Leupold VX-R 3-9x40
Bullet - North Fork SS @3.60" & FPS@3.575" oal
Brass - R-P
Primer - GM215M
Powder - Ramshot Big Game
Charge Wt - 69.5gr
Avg. - 2458fps
Group - 4-shots (3- SS & 1- FPS) .188"
100 yds

Well done! If you'd like to work up a second load, 76gr of IMR4350 works very well in my M70 and a friends with the same bullet.

Cant find a much prettier target than that!! It's funny because my first CZ 550 that killed the Buff in my avatar shot the SS and CPS to the same point and just as good with RL 15 at the same speed. I loaded mine to a much longer Coal in the spacious CZ magazine. Congrats on finding a great load, now to go somewhere and kill something with it!!

Thanks guys. It's not too often that I get a load with so much promise. Next week I will shoot out to 200-300 yds, so there is still time for me to bugger it up. But still I may need to start planning another trip to Africa.
