Looking for advice or direction on either the CZ 550 in 375 H&H or the Ruger RSM in 375 H&H. I know the CZ has a true Magnum action and is CRF and the Ruger also is CRF. What are the advantages of one over the other? TIA!

Both are excellent. But I have a decided preference for the CZ 550 action. It’s a successor to the BRNO ZKK602 action, which is my favorite Magnum length magazine rifle action of all time (among the ones which were commercially manufactured).

While it’s never personally happened to me, young Zimbabwean legend Buzz Charlton did document a potential drawback of the Ruger Model 77 Mark II action in his autobiography “Tall Tales”. His immense amount of firsthand experience with the .416 Rigby Ruger Model 77 Mark II in the field, cannot be treated lightly.

In .375 i say cz550. You get an extra round of ammo and weight is ideal for the .375.

I like the RSM but in .375 it’s too heavy, barrel heavy in particular. .416 weight is better and perfect in .458.

I believe you will find more CZ550’s for sale than the Ruger RSM in 375 H&H.
Being a left handed shooter I went with the 375 Ruger in the African model.
My local gun store has two CZ550’s and a Sako 85 Ian in the 375 H&H caliber.
