I spent most of the day doing load development for the 416 rem with 430 gr North Fork SS and CPS bullets. Very little published data to be found, but I worked up a load using accurate 2520. Started at 65 grains and 2116 fps and stopped at 70 grains of 2520 with 2287 fps with no sings of excessive pressure and good accuracy( 1 ¼ , 3 shots with 2 in exact same hole using my standing bench at 100 yards. Remington 91/2 primers, seated .040 deeper than normal oal 3.060. Was using Varget and H4895 with Fed 215 primers, but could not get those NFs to group, and had a hard time getting to 2250 fps without to much pressure. Temps in the 60s, will test this load when temps get over 90 to see if I am still good pressure wise.
