Hi, wondering if anyone has experience with the "Hornady New Dimension Series IV" dies vs the RCBS Safari dies for 500 NE. The Hornady is a 2-die set while the RCBS is 3, and the Hornady is priced significantly cheaper. I picked up a set of the Hornady on sale but I'm wondering if I'll regret it vs biting the bullet and going with the RCBS. Basically I prefer to buy once cry once so if there's a consensus that the RCBS is superior I'd rather return the Hornady and pick those up. Thanks in advance for feedback!

I personally like Hornady dies better. Every set I have, which is many, seem to produce straighter resized brass using the button than Redding or RCBS. Just use a washer on the press and do the crimping last as a separate operation, or do what I did and buy a separate seater die and adjust the lock ring, so it is just a crimper.

I have owned both for my 500 NE (stupid I know right) and I actually liked the Hornady better

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
